Our trainers will motivate you in a non-threatening way. We don't believe in screaming and yelling and pushing you until you've nearly collapsed on the floor. Yes, some "tough love" is required to guide you toward your fitness goals, but hey, we know the human psyche and when you can't dig deep enough to achieve the transformation you dream of, that's where we come in. All trainers at Mentor Heisley are certified professionals and are here to help you set realistic and attainable goals!

Courtney is a 2012 graduate of Ohio University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Physiology. Having been involved in fitness and athletics since grade school, she feels very fortunate to be able to have studied and can pursue her love of physical fitness as her career. Two years ago she received her ACE personal trainer certification and specializes in endurance/sports conditioning, weight training, weight management, and circuit training. During her 4 years at Ohio University she played/coached the women’s club lacrosse team. Recreationally, she enjoys running, competing in triathlons, snowboarding and coaching/playing lacrosse. She has a strong belief that no one can want it for you, you have to want it for yourself.
Mike was born and raised in Mentor, Ohio. Mike is ISSA certified and has always had an interest in fitness ever since starting weight training in high school. He played soccer and lacrosse for most of his life and now coaches Lacrosse at Chardon High School. He recently overcame a major knee surgery that occurred in October of 2016 and continues to push himself to improve more day by day. Mike specializes in working with younger athletes but regardless of your fitness goals, Mike is here to help you achieve them!
Aldona is a personable, patient and passionate Personal Trainer. She takes time to understand client goals and aspirations, designing exercise programs that maximize workout efficiency, weight loss, improving fitness and developing an overall sense of well-being. She is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, has raced over 15 Marathons and many other races. Aldona's other interests are strength training, nutrition and yoga. She was born and raised in Poland, studied Journalism in Lithuania.
Fitness has always been her passion!
Peggy has a BS in Education from Lake Erie College.
Her certifications include Certified Personal Trainer Level II by World Instructor Training Schools (W.I.T.S.), Certified Group Exercise Instructor by the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA), Trained in Active Isolated Stretch. She is also CPR/First Aid certified. These certifications qualify Peggy to work with anyone wishing to improve his or her overall fitness! She is currently teaching Active Isolated Stretch and a variety of weight training classes along with being a Personal Trainer. Peggy has been teaching and working with clients since 2005!

Nolan is currently pursuing a field in Corporate Fitness, but is also actively pursuing training opportunities for all populations, from athletes to special populations. Nolan is a 2014 graduate of Grove City College with a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science and a minor in Business. He is certified through the ACSM as a Health Fitness Specialist which allows for both personal training and group fitness. Nolan has worked in both weight room and aquatic settings with special populations and was a strength and conditioning coach for the varsity women's basketball team at Grove City College. He is excited to develop specific individualized exercise programs that are both safe and enjoyable. His goal is to help you find your true potential and accomplish the goals that you have set for yourself.
As a Trainer, Gary believes that there is a desired body, mindset and motivational spirit in everyone and his job is to help his clients successfully achieve that desired state of being. With certifications as a Fitness Trainer and a Specialist in Performance Nutrition through the International Sports Science Association, Gary has the academic background and practical experience to educate, motivate and inspire each and every client. Most recently Gary has completed the Essence of Body Weight Training and the Senior Fit courses at the American Academy of Health and Fitness.
David is a recent Lake Erie college graduate who has accumulated over 15 years of competitive running. Over the years, he has set several school records in both the high school and collegiate levels. In 2012, David was awarded the most courageous athlete award, exemplifying his extreme passion and determination. Within the same year, David had overcome an extreme obstacle- ankle surgery. Despite the challenge of a broken ankle, He finished off the year as an NCL division II champion, and regional qualifier. David has since taken his fitness to a new height by switching over from an endurance athlete to pursue a new passion in physique bodybuilding.
